Cropping and pasture agronomy

Cropping & Pasture Agronomy

PY Agronomy has been servicing clients in the central west for over 16 years. We are proud to say that we have a loyal and long-standing client base in central west NSW and the surrounding district. We pride ourselves our commitment to our growers and our pro-active approach to the management of your farming operation.

We offer a range of agronomy services to suit grower’s needs, with our most recognised service being our Sustainable Cropping and Pasture Program. This program is based on the PY Agronomy Production Principles that are key to any farming operation. We work closely with our clients to empower them with these principles and support them to make the right decisions at the right time. Most importantly with careful business planning, we can ‘even’ out the seasons for our growers, making it easier to recover from the lower production years. We are passionate about what we do and encourage you to get in touch to find out how we could assist you.

Fees are paid per ha and are determined based on your requirements. They are paid quarterly

Please note that approved participants may be able to claim reimbursement of some of the costs of the program. To confirm this please contact the NSW Rural Assistance Authority Ph. 1800 678 593 Email: rural.assist@raa.nsw.gov.au

Farms for sale

Land Aquisition for Growers

Many of our clients are looking for additional land, and with our extensive network throughout the central west, we can help them find what they are looking for.

We encourage you to let us know if you are looking for land, or looking to sell, and we’ll be sure to be in touch if something suitable comes up. We work hard to identify opportunities for farmers to acquire land and to evaluate these opportunities.

Pre purchase property inspections

Pre-Purchase Property Inspection

You wouldn’t invest in a business without finding out how it has performed in the past, and what the potential is? It’s no different to investing in a farm. Finding out the history of the business, the current production/income, how will I make sure we profit in the first couple of years, what upfront expenses will I need to account for to get the business up and running, are there any tax benefits I can count on etc is absolutely essential.

PY Agronomy can take the stress out of this process for you. We assist farmers with Pre-purchase property inspections all around the region. These inspections include an ‘Agronomy check’ paddock by paddock, opportunities and weaknesses, suggested first year operational plan for the farm, and a Year 1-3 farm business budget all of which you can take straight to the bank! We know the importance of getting this information right, and we work closely with you to ensure you have all of the information you require to make the right decision, and in a timely manner.
